What star rating is the hotel? The Miami Hotel is 3 star rated by AAA Tourism.

How far is the hotel from the airport? The Miami Hotel Melbourne is located in Melbourne’s city which is a 20 minute drive from Melbourne’s International and Domestic airport at Tullamarine. Jetstar domestic flights fly into Avalon airport which is 50 kilometres from Melbourne.

How to get from airport to the hotel? The hotel does not offer airport pick-up. Transfers from the airport can be made on the Skybus (www.skybus.com.au) or by taxi.

Security and Safety

The reception is manned 24 hours. The hotel is fitted with sprinkler system & smoke detectors. The fire safety system undergoes weekly checks and is monitored 24/7.

A safe deposit is available at the Front Desk for your valuables.

Check in time is 2:00pm
Check out time is 10:00am

What if I arrive at the hotel before check in time?

Requests for early check in can be made, but they cannot be guaranteed.

If you arrive early please register with Reception. You may store your bags in our luggage room if your room is not yet available. When the room becomes available, you can check in.

What if I want a late check out? If you would like to check out later than 10am, please advise the receptionist on duty. The rate for Day use varies depending on the type of room. Day use is subject to availability and may not be available if the room has been booked for that day.

Do you have luggage storage? The hotel offers luggage storage for early arrivals. Luggage storage is also available on the day of departure.

What method of payment do you accept? We accept Australian currency cash, VISA, Mastercard, EFTPOS and AMEX. A deposit is generally required and balance of payment is required upon arrival with photograph ID (Driver’s License or Passport). Unfortunately we cannot accept personal or bank cheques.

What is the hotels cancellation policy? 48 hours notice is required for cancellations. Cancellation fees apply. More notice is required for special event periods (notified at time of booking).

Are sightseeing tours and activities available? There are a range of sightseeing tours from Melbourne. Brochures are available from reception and staff can book them for you. There is hotel pick-up for most tours.

How much do baby cots cost?

Our cots are suitable for infants under 12 months old. We charge a small fee for baby cot use.

Is it hard to get a taxi from the hotel? No, the receptionist has a direct line to the taxi company.

How far away from the main city area is the hotel? The Miami Hotel is a 10 minute tram ride into the CBD.

Does the hotel have car parking?

The hotel has onsite car parking behind a secure gate.

What are your cheapest rooms? Our Economy rooms with shared bathroom facilities are our cheapest rooms.

Do you give student discount? We give student discount upon presentation of current Student ID at checkin.Conditions apply.

Are your rates per person or per room? We charge for the room. Different amounts of people can be accommodated in various room types. The number of people that can be accommodated in each room equals the number of sleeping positions.
